The National Tax Administration Office (ONAT, in Spanish) in Villa Clara announced the ongoing campaign for personal income and profit declarations, running from January 5 to April 30, and urged taxpayers to fulfill their fiscal obligations on time to support the state budget.

María Marleny Machado Pedraza, ONAT director in Villa Clara, explained that all registered individuals—self-employed workers, usufructuaries, livestock holders, artists, and social communicators—must submit their sworn statements within the established period. Those required to make payments must also do so within this timeframe.
In parallel, the profit declaration campaign for the state sector is underway, covering companies, MSMEs, local development projects, and non-agricultural cooperatives. These entities have until March 30 to submit their profits via sworn statements. Although regulations require printed submissions at ONAT offices, the measure has been relaxed to accept digital submissions with electronic signatures.
Machado encouraged legal entities to use the Virtual Bandec platform for payments, avoiding bank crowding and last-minute delays. She also recommended that individual taxpayers use Transfermóvil, which allows payments from home and grants a 3% bonus. Additionally, those who pay before February 28 will receive an extra 5% benefit, totaling an 8% discount.
The director acknowledged that the campaign is not progressing as expected: out of a potential 29,000 taxpayers, only about 2,500 have submitted their declarations, representing 8.5%. She stressed the importance of not waiting until the last day, as the country relies on these revenues to sustain the state budget.
ONAT offices maintain regular hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with drop boxes available for document delivery. Refund and compensation procedures are also accepted, provided technical conditions allow.
