Cargando...Holguín, the Eastern province considered Cuba’s third most important destination, has a Tourist Commercial Palace that offers services to locals and foreigners alike.
Rutas Holguín is an establishment on the Boulevard of the City of Parks that brings together travel agencies from the Ministry of Tourism and Gaviota, including Havanatur, Viajes Cubanacán, Cubatur, Gaviotatur, and Ecotur, to offer their services.
There is also space for Infitur, the Tourism Observatory established in the province four years ago, as well as a specialist dedicated to rental properties, special tourist areas, and technical support for service providers. This promotes the integration of the non-state sector.
As an added bonus, Rutas Holguín has an Info-Café where customers can enjoy food and drinks while waiting to learn about tourist attractions.
Francisco Suárez Fernández, the Ministry of Tourism’s representative in the province, emphasized that the venue was created in response to the need to diversify and enrich the region’s tourist experience.
He specified that this project «offers a real meeting point between visitors and the community, reactivating the urban center as a cultural and commercial hub.» It also visually and conceptually embodies the multidimensional richness of Holguín tourism, which includes cultural, historical, natural, and beach attractions.
He said that the project, the first to be inaugurated by the tourism sector in celebration of National Rebellion Day, reflects the intention to establish Holguín as a more organized and professional destination.
Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Party’s Central Committee and its first secretary in Holguín, attended the opening of the premises. He urged the consolidation of strategic alliances with the university and the cultural sector to promote the so-called smoke-free industry.
