Cubans Silva and Antomarchi get bronze in judo in Paris

Cuban judocas Iván Felipe Silva and Kaliema Antomarchi won bronze medals today at the Grand Slam in Paris.
Silva dominated the Azeri Mammadali Mehdiyev by ippon in one of the fights for the third place of the 90 kilograms, category in which Spaniard Nikoloz Sherazadishvili, head of the planet in Baku-2018, prevailed.

Meanwhile, Antomarchi took one of the bronzes of the 78 kilograms, after beating French Audrey Tcheumeo, double Olympic medalist and three world championship, by wazari, including the title in Paris-2011.

The Cuban yielded in the quarterfinals against the local Fanny Posvite, third place in Astana-2015, but was replaced in the rejection against Polish Beata Pacut.

The gold of the 78 kilos was taken by the current monarch of the planet (Tokyo-2019), the French Madeleine Molonga, after surpassing his compatriot Posvite.

Later, Andy Granda will try to give Cuba another bronze in the division of more than 100 kilograms, in his duel with the Dutchman Roy Meyer, third place in the Tokyo-2019 World Cup. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
