Those who participated in the Widened Coordination Policy in the Union Meeting from America (ESNA), held at Lazaro Peña Theater in Havana, agreed to support the integration process and close links with the parties and political and social movements in the region.

The meeting was presided over by Juan Castillo, general coordinator of ESNA and those attending this event agreed that the social organizations cannot be alien to the processed of economical and social development advancing in the region.

ESNA’s goals for 2015 are to establish alliances with organizations like Marcha Mundial de Mujeres, Organization continental Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Estudiantes. La Federación Internacional de Mujeres Parlamentarias, Via Campesina and Movimiento de los Sin Tierras in Brazil, as well as mobilize4 workers and factors of the cointinent in the frame of the next summits of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) and that of the Amercias in Panama.

The delegates ratified their support to Cuba in its battle against the economic and finance blockade imposed by the United States, and the actions for the immediate release of Ramon Labañino, Gerardo Hernandez and Antonio Guerrero who are still unjustly held in the US and Argentina’s to recover The Falklands.

Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, general secretary of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC), explained the updating process of the Cuban new economic and social model which is carried out with the participation of the Cuban workers and will support the integration processes in the region like Unasur, Mercosur, Celac and Alba, so, he pointed out the importance of the union of the working class in this region.
