Cuba on Thursday repeated its condemnation of Israel»s aggression against the Gaza Strip, as a result of which more than 1,000 people have been killed in more than 20 days of Zionists attacks on that Palestinian territory.

In a communiqué, the Cuban Foreign Ministry expressed its strongest condemnation of this situation and ratified «its unyielding solidarity with the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent State, with East Jerusalem as its capital».

With growing concern, the Foreign Ministry has followed the serious developments on the Gaza Strip, particularly the indiscriminate attacks by the Israeli Army on civilian targets, which have killed and injured thousands of people and have caused mass destruction of properties and infrastructures, the communiqué noted.

In light of such a situation, Cuba called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council «to demand an immediate end to Israel’s aggression, the lifting of the blockade of the Gaza Strip and the reestablishment of medical, water and power services to preserve the live of thousands of innocent people».

On July 11, Cuba condemned the Zionist attacks on the Gaza Strip and recalled that «only talks on equal bases can lead to a fair peace that will allow the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable rights and the final establishment of a Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital». (Prensa Latina)
