With a variety of recreational offerings for family enjoyment, Sancti Spíritus wrapped up its summer activities—an eagerly awaited season in Cuba, as it coincides with the school break and the hottest time of the year.

Despite economic constraints, high prices, and power outages, residents of Sancti Spíritus had access to different leisure options in their communities, at recreational and tourist centers, and in various swimming areas.
As usual, the southern coastline of Trinidad stole the spotlight, thanks to the crystal-clear waters and white sands of the Ancón Peninsula, the influx of visitors to vacation villas and rental homes in La Boca, and the scenic blend of sea, river, and mountains offered by other parts of Trinidad.
Cultural events were the highlight in the provincial capital and surrounding communities, especially with the return of popular festivals—a step forward in reviving traditional carnivals, notably the Santiago Espirituano.
This weekend saw a surge in entertainment options, including the celebration of Changüí music in the towns of Guayos, Iguará, and Zaza del Medio, and performances by the popular band Cándido Fabré y su Banda in the provincial capital and other communities.
