Due to its optimal performance in economic, union, and social aspects in 2024, the Carisol-Los Corales Hotel was awarded National Efficient status. Four other groups in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba also achieved this status.
Rafaela Matos Ross, the general secretary of the Provincial Union of Hotel and Tourism Workers, thanked the managers and employees of Carisol-Los Corales for their performance during a period «marked by difficulties of all kinds, which complicate processes in such a strategic sector of the economy. This recognition is all the more valuable because of that,» she said.
She congratulated the teams at this facility for always being ready to respond to the union’s calls, especially for blood donations and other social tasks.
Matos Ross praised the behavior of the Las Américas and San Juan hotels of the Islazul business group, the Cubatur travel agency and Infotur, for joining Carisol-Los Corales, of Cubanacán, as the five winners in Santiago’s properties of the National Efficient condition.
She explained that these collectives came very close to becoming National Vanguard (VN), the highest category, which is reserved for those who meet its requirements and climb to the top of the socialist emulation podium.
«In our case, only the Complejo Hotelero Ciudad and the Hotel Versalles reached the VN. These are centers that stand out in their approach to tourism and serve as an inspiring example for other places that can do the same.»
