To date, 135 municipal conferences have been held in the country in advance of the 22nd Congress of the Central of Cuban Workers, scheduled for the first half of this year.
This was announced on Monday at a virtual meeting of the general secretaries of the national unions and provincial CTCs, chaired by Isdalis Rodriguez Rodriguez, member of the Central Committee of the Party and second secretary of the organization.
The dialogue, led from Havana, was attended by the heads of the organization and training departments of the national unions, the provincial CTCs and the special municipality of Isla de Juventud.
Another point of the meeting is the conduct of the election process of the delegates to the Great Assembly, scheduled for the first semester of this year, the direct and indirect delegates and the members of the National Council of the Central of Workers of Cuba.
Regarding the performance of the municipal and provincial conferences prior to the 22nd CTC Workers’ Congress, it was reported that only 26 conferences remain to be held as a prelude to the major meeting scheduled for the first half of this year.
These meetings analyze important issues related to the trade union and economic life of each locality, based on the updating of the Cuban economic model.
