Cuba’s Colmenita Company celebrates its 30th anniversary

The Cuban children’s theater company ‘La Colmenita’ celebrates on Saturday 30 years of its creation, with the performance of its play ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,’ based on the homonymous classic fairy tale and an important piece of its repertoire.
The capital’s Karl Marx Theater will host the staging of the famous work of the Brothers Grimm, in a script adapted for La Colmenita by Julia Gonzalez, with music by Yamel Romero and choreographies by Iraida Malberti.

The presentation of the popular work is one of the actions with which the group founded and directed by Carlos Alberto Cremata celebrates three decades of work, time in which it has been enshrined as one of the most influential children’s theater companies in the world.

With subsidiaries in several Latin American countries, La Colmenita has been recognized on more than one occasion for the importance of its work, even the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) declared it a Goodwill Ambassador in 2007.

‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ will be on the billboard until tomorrow with two performances at the same venue. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
