Greece, Cuba Analyze Possible Cooperation in Medicine

The rector of the National University and Kapodistria of Athens, Athanasios C. Dimopoulos and the deputy director of the National Institute of Oncology and Radio-biology of Cuba, Erasmo Pablo Gómez, evaluated the cooperation perspectives in the field of medicine.
During the meeting, held at the headquarters of this high education center, both personalities held an exchange of criteria on the possibilities of developing collaboration between that university and the Cuban institution.

The meeting with the rector, who is also an oncologist by profession, was also attended by the Cuban ambassador in Greece, Zelmys María Domínguez, participated.

Gómez attends the National Conference of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology.

As part of an intense program, invited by the Elpida Foundation (Hope) that helps children with cancer, she visited the Agia Sofia Pediatric Hospital the day before, the largest in the country, and one of the most important in Europe, with all pathological and surgical specialities; as well as unique laboratories in Greece.
