Raul Castro and Nicolas Maduro in Solidarity with Venezuela Activity

Cuban President Raul Castro and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro participated on Monday in Havana in a cultural-political solidarity activity with the people of the South American nation.

Representatives of Cuban civil society and political and grass roots organization participated in the activity held at the International Convention Center.

Nicolas Maduro arrived to Havana on Sunday night accompanied by the First Combatant of the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution Cilia Flores.

The 15th Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America-Peoples Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) began on Monday with a declaration, which includes actions in support of the legitimate government of Venezuela and its people.

The constant threats of the Organization of American States (OAS) against Venezuela as well as the pretensions of the US Southern Command of justifying a direct action against that sovereign nation has been reiterated on several occasions.

Numerous examples of solidarity, among them dozens of declarations by Cuban political and grass roots organization have been made in support of the Bolivarian Revolution and the people of Venezuela. (Taken from Cuban News Agency)
