The natal house and other facilities of this historical place, in Cueto municipality that had suffered logical damages for the years were restored for this celebration.
The restoring jobs were carried out by a brigade from the Historian Office from Havana City and workers from the Building Company of the People’s Power, including the family pantheon where the remains of their parents Angel and Lina rest. The Haitians’ huts and booths, the facilities for commerce, the mini-station, the school and other social institutions from the community where about 3, 000 inhabitants live were also restored.
Activities in the farm 6 de Agosto, exchanges and debates with young people with combatants of the Revolution, the launching of the book Mi otra vida, from Ignacio Ramonet, as well as going camping of young people and the main meeting to celebrate our top historical leader’s birthday are the activities programmed in this historical place.
