Raul Castro Receives Venezuelan President

Havana, Prensa Latina.- Cuban President Raul Castro met his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro, who is on a working visit to Cuba, national media reported today. According to the note published by Granma newspaper, during the meeting held on Monday the two leaders talked about the victory of the Chavista and Bolivarian Revolution and in the recent municipal elections held on December 8 in Venezuela.

Raul Castro and Maduro agreed in stressing the close relationship between the peoples and governments of Cuba and Venezuela, and also discussed other issues of international and regional agenda.

The meeting was attended also by the First Fighter (First Lady) Cilia Flores and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
