Havana Club Rum is Present Worldwide

The worldwide well known Havana Club rum from Cuba has its “throne” at the annual International Fair of Havana FIHAV 2013, where dark rums highlights as Maestros’ Selection, Maximum and 15 years Mature, which shows a renewed image matching the quality and exquisiteness of this product.

It is distributed in more than 140 countries. The annual marketing of its branches is about 3,7 million boxes, said Ivette Martinez, director of sales and marketing of the joint venture enterprise Havana Club International S.A.., who noted that among the nations that purchase it, highlights Germany, France, United Kingdom, Chile, Canada, Mexico and there are strong perspectives in China.

She said that the lack of marketing of this product in the United States, due to the economic, commercial and finance blockade imposed by this country, is depriving the Americans of one of the best brands with better development in the field of sparkling beverages and rums, which is in the position 24 among the 100 that are the most sold in the world. Despite it is not sold in that market, it has a remarkable preference among the barmen for its versatility in cocktails and it is pretty demanded in the 50 most famous bars worldwide.

It is significant that Havana Club rum gets to the first position (August 2012) from the list of Elite Brands that every year transmits the specialized  front page of Internet, as spirits, the most important in the world, IWSR (International Wine and Spirits Researches), pushing for the first time, Bacardi Rum.

The official explained the enterprise will keep on working in the Cooperative Social Responsibility created by our partner, the French group Pernod Ricard to promote a responsible consumption of the alcoholic beverages they produce, and they count on with the main pillars aimed to drivers based on “if you drink, don’t drive” and the young people by means of the “You decide” campaign together with the University of Havana, by means of propaganda spread, even with cocktails without alcohol, and teaching them there are other ways to have fun.
