When the 39th edition of the International Tourism Fair, Fitur 2019, opened on Wednesday in Madrid, the Cuban delegation and its recreational proposals attract the attention of participants.

Many of travel experts attending the fair, starting January 23 thru 27, have their attention on the offers of the Cuban recreational industry, which exposes regions and modalities such as sun and beach, circuits, congresses and stays related to the culture.

The Cuban delegation will be chaired by the Tourism Minister (MINTUR) Manuel Marrero, accompanied by the presidents and commercial vice presidents of the main hotel chains, and travel agencies that operate in Cuba.

Representatives of the associated companies such as Melia Hotels, Iberostar, Blue Diamond, Muthus, Roc Hotels, Accor, NH, Barcelo, Valentin, Kempinski, among others, also participate in the fair.

The business groups Viajes Cuba and Cubasol, as well as the companies Cuban Medical Services, Palco and Paradiso, will also participate in the event.

Caracol is represented by cigar roller Jose Castelar Cairo (Cueto), who holds the Guinness record for the world’s longest Havana cigars.

The 22nd Conference of Ibero-American Ministers and Spanish Tourism Entrepreneurs (CIMET) was held prior FITUR. Cuba was represented by Marrero. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
