Cargando...The Italian group T.O.MA. signed in Havana, in the presence of the Minister of Construction of Cuba, René Mesa Villafaña, a contract worth 80 million dollars for the construction of the IBEROSTAR Hotel in Trinidad.
The works will be assumed by the International Economic Association «AEI Trinidad», created on August 4, 2017 between the T.O.MA. Group, a general contractor and executor of civil, industrial, infrastructure and plant engineering works in emerging markets, on the Italian side, and the state construction company DINVAI, linked to the Cuban construction sector.
Through «AEI Trinidad» they will be able to carry out not only the works resulting from the awarding of the tender for the construction of the Iberostar Trinidad Hotel, but also of the Melia Trinidad Hotel, whose contract was signed on April 5, 2018 within the framework of the XXII International Construction Exhibition (FECONS), in which T.O.MA. participated as part of the Italian presence in this fair, organized by the Italian Agency for Trade and Investment (ICE).
The clients representing both hotels to be built are j.v. TOS Cuba (Hotel Melia) and j.v. Cuba Caribe (Iberostar). The total amount of both works amounts to approximately 140 million USD, making it the largest contract ever awarded to an Italian company in Cuba. (Taken from Cuban News Agency)
