Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday extolled the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the eve of the second anniversary of his death.
‘#Fidel thought and organized the #Revolution, he headed it, fought and won; he rescued the country’s dignity and forged an unequal emancipatory work. He resolutely confronted imperialism, grew with his people and for many reasons he will be forever,’ the Cuban president wrote on his Twitter account on Saturday.

Diaz-Canel also recalled that the Cuban revolutionary leader, who passed away on November 25, 2016, ‘placed Cuba in a prestigious place in the world due to his contribution to the revolutionary theory and practice and to social and human development.’

He demonstrated to us that a better world is possible and, therefore, with conviction, we fight, Diaz-Canel stressed. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
