Representatives of over twenty companies from 14 countries will participate in the 26th Alicia Alonso International Ballet Festival in Havana, according to its organizers.
The event of more than 50 years will gather here again relevant figures of world culture to share the same language: dance, as confirmed in a press conference.

The organizing institution, the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC), will hold the 26th edition from October 28 to November 6, in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its foundation, a fact that led to the only ballet school in Latin America with its own style and universal recognition.

One of the particularities of the event’s programming will be the great season scheduled to celebrate 75 years of the Alonso’s premiere in the classic Giselle, expected to be performed by leading Cuban and foreign stars.

With more than half a century of history, the Alicia Alonso International Ballet Festival in Havana is a favorable moment for artistic exchange between leading figures in the dance world, personalities, critics, specialists and entrepreneurs. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
