If visa is approved Cuba will attend the Wrestling World Cup in Iowa, US, with a very strong team of nine freestyle fighters, scheduled Friday and Saturday, the National Federation of this discipline said.
The head of coaches of the technical group, Julio Mendieta, remarked that Cuba is taking its best wrestlers to that match as part of preparation for the Central American and Caribbean Games of Barranquilla, from July 19 to August 3.

According to Mendieta, Cuba achieved the right to participate in the Iowa World Cup for its performance at the Paris World Championships last year, in which its gladiators won two bronze medals.
