French Minister of State Meets Cuban Minister in Paris

Cuban Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Elba Rosa Perez, held a meeting in Paris with French Minister of State for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, Brune Poirson, diplomatic sources reported yesterday.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the main issues of the bilateral agenda and ratified both sides’ interest to cooperate in specific research projects, exchange on environmental issues and confront climate change.

The Cuban minister is visiting Paris to lead the delegation participating in the 39th General Conference of UNESCO, during which she has developed a broad working agenda.

As part of the program, the minister presented to the diplomats, specialists and representatives of international organizations the ‘Tarea Vida’ (Life Task), a State Plan conceived by the Cuban government to handle climate change.

The minister offered some details about this program that shows ‘the political will to act against this complex phenomenon’, with the antecedent of the early warning launched by the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, at the 1992 Earth Summit. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
