The company Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba (LADC) culminated yesterday a series of presentations in one of the most prestigious theaters in Israel, the Opera Tel Aviv-Yafo, with impressive and unique qualifications.
This is testified by the country’s media that praised the work Fuerza y Compás (Strenght and Tempo) for its powerful energy.

This is the show of the year that you will not want to miss, said the critic Sasha Deda from Bimot Global, where he also acknowledged that the show ‘swept the audience.’

What remains for them now is to surprise the whole country with their magnificent art. Hurry to book tickets to live a unique experience! he said when inviting the public.

In this way, LADC became the first Cuban dance company to appear in Israel, where it will also perform on stages like the Ashdod Performing Arts Center, tomorrow, November 5; the Jerusalem Theater, a day later; and the Haifa Auditorium, on November 7.

Once again we open doors and we have bridges of art and love, those that should move the world, said the director Lizt Alfonso, who is also the choreographer of most of the scenes of Fuerza y Compás.

This show exposes the syncretism of the Spanish and African roots in Cuban culture, originated by the Spanish colonization and the introduction of slaves from Africa.

The artistic group founded 25 years ago by Alfonso has been applauded in more than 200 cities around the world for the impact of its fusion style, a combination of elements of flamenco, ballet, contemporary dance, folklore, and dissimilar popular dances. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
