Cuba Hosts Congress on Applied Podiatry

The 1st Scientific Congress on Applied Podiatry, Podosalud 2017, opened yesterday in Havana with the participation of delegates from more than 15 countries, who will to share experiences on this specialty.

 

According to the agenda, podiatrists, angiologists, orthopedists, endocrinologists, internists and other experts will analyze at the Habana Libre Hotel their experiences in the management of the healthy, risky and diabetic foot.

They will also review the methodology to evaluate cases, orthopedic surgery on a diabetic foot and frequent injuries in sports according to the footstep.

Miriam Mesa, president of the organizing committee for Podosalud 2017, said that the event will present the cases of patients healing from diabetic foot ulcers after the administration of the Cuban medicine Heberprot-P.

Participants will also refer to the application of Fox Laser, a technique to treat nail fungus, onychomycosis, rapidly and painlessly.

The event, to be held until June 12, will be conducive to a fair to promote, market and exhibit products from foreign and domestic companies and podiatry-related technologies. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
