Díaz-Canel receives President of Pakistani Senate

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first vice president of Cuba’s Councils of State and Ministers, yesterday afternoon February 27, received Mian Raza Rabbani, president of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Senate, who is making an official visit to the country on the invitation of the National Assembly of People’s Power.

During the fraternal meeting, the two leaders discussed the excellent state of bilateral relations between their peoples and governments, as well as other issues of national and international interest.

Accompanying the distinguished guest were several Senators, members of the delegation, and Kamran Shafi, Pakistani ambassador in Cuba.

Also participating on the Cuban side were Ana María Mari Machado, vice president of the National Assembly of People’s Power; Ana Teresita González Fraga, deputy minister of Foreign Relations; and functionaries from the Foreign Ministry and the National Assembly. (Taken from en.granma.cu)
