The figure of the Cuban Revolution’s leader, Fidel Castro (1926-2016), will be regarded in the books that the Publishing House Capitan San Luis will present at the International Book Fair of Havana (FIL 2017), according to reports today in this capital.

In this edition, the stand of that publishing house will show 51 different books and six new works, with two of them related to the thinking and action by Fidel Castro.

According to the Director of the Publishing House Capital San Luis, Juan Carlos Rodriguez, an important number of those books are aimed at young people, with the purpose of continuing spreading the work by that great man.

That is the case of the book ‘Fidel Castro. What Did He Find after the Victory of the Revolution?, written by Rodriguez, tackling also little-known elements of the Cuban leader’s figure.

Researcher Abel Enrique Gonzalez, writer of the compilation ‘Fidel Castro and the United States, 90 speeches, words and reflections,’ highlighted the capacity of the leader to pass on, with his words, a culture of coexistence and peace.

To make this compilation, Gonzalez did research among 1,546 speeches, words and reflections by the leader from January 1, 1959 to April 16, 2016.

Under the premise ‘Fidel among Us,’ the Publishing House Capitan San Luis will keep in its stand numerous works about the life and work by Fidel Castro, during the International Book Fair of Havana, from February 9-19.

Among the new books, they included ‘Hombres del Escambray’ (Men of the Escambray). ‘Los secretos de la victoria’ (The secrets of Victory), by Juan Carlos Rodriguez; ‘El rostro oculto de la CIA’ (The Hidden Face of the CIA). ‘Antesala de Playa Giron’ (Prelude of Bay of Pigs), by Manuel Hevia and Andres Zaldivar; the novel ‘Un boceto bajo el polvo’ (An Sketch under the Dust), by Jesus Orta; and the cartoon srtory book ‘El oro de Oya’ (The Gold of Oya), by Omar Felipe Mauri and Wimar Verdecia.
