“The partial elections held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 has given a positive demonstration to choose the delegates for the municipal assemblies of the People’s Power in Cuba”, said the president of the National Electoral Commission (CEN) Alina Balseiro Gutierrez when she offered details to the press on the march of the elections at 5:00 p.m. She said that in that moment, 7, 272, 747 people had cast their vote, which represents the 85, 19 percent with a register of 8, 536, 670.

Balseiro stressed it was a hard day with enthusiasm and good results. The 190, 000 electoral authorities had respected the law with transparency and attachment to the truth.

She informed that according to what was established, at six o’clock the count was closed, even though when in other provinces it was raining and they valued the possibility to extend the hours, but they later advanced and there was no need to do so.

At the closing of this edition, they were processing the global information, so that during the afternoon of Monday, April 20 the last information was emitted by the CEN where the quality of the vote was expressed which is the results of the valid votes, the void ones and those left in blank, as well as the results of the delegates elected in this first round.
