The symptoms of burning or heartburn in the stomach is a feeling that start in the lower part of the chest that can reach the throat. It is commonly produced when the gastric acids flow up throughout the esophagus, because it is not completely closed, or there have been a pressure on the abdomen and it makes the acids flow up.

The stomach is ready to stand the pH acid, but the esophagus does not have that capacity, so, there is the sensation of the suffering that is frequently known as heartburn.

The causes of this suffering could be the excessive ingestion of food or alcohol, keep the stomach empty for a long time, jump meals like breakfast or either lunch or dinner, eat excessive fat, acids or spicy foods, or the consumption of some drugs.

The main symptoms are the sensation of burning or continuous cramps in the stomach, nauseas, vomiting and difficulties to swallow.

One of the best ways to fight this suffering is with the consumption of natural cures; many of them are prepared as prevention treatments to avoid this problem.

Aloe: It is well known all over the world for its properties to ease and restore irritations and burnings, so, it is very effective in the treatment of heartburn. It I recommended to drink half or a quarter of glass of this juice taken from the leave 20 minutes before every meal. It should be done in a moderate way because it also has laxative properties.

Bicarbonate of soda: A natural product for excellence to fight heartburn. Besides fighting the suffering sensations of heartburn, it is good to regulate the pH in the body. The ideal thing is to consume a teaspoon dissolved in a glass of water. It is not recommended for people suffering hypertension or retention of liquids.

Ginger: Its root is one of the thousand-year-old cures to fight heartburn. Its properties are also efficient to ease symptoms like nauseas or inflammation. You can drink it in an infusion, include it in salads, shakes or other preparations.

Papaya: Its properties stimulate digestion and help prevent the symptoms that cause that suffering sensation of burning. It is recommended to drink it in juice half an hour after each meal.

Chamomile: It helps digestion and decreases the risk of heartburn, because it helps neutralize the pH acid of the stomach. You should make an infusion with a bunch of flowers in a cup of boiling water for three minutes. You leave it rest and you drink it before the meals.

To fight heartburn:

Avoid exercises.

Don’t take a nap after any meal.

You should eat small portions of food several times a day.

Prevent or treat obesity.

Give up smoking.

Chew the food correctly.
