270614Ucrania_steag-eu-ukraine-640_mediumThe commerce association agreement with the European Union (EU) signed by the end of June by the President of Ukraine Piotor Poroshenko, the top representative of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and heads of States from 28 countries members of the EU that assume the economic integration of Ukraine’s economy with the communitarian block, a treaty of free commerce that does not mean its joining to the EU.

The agreement should be endorsed by the by the parliamentarians of Ukraine and all member nations of the EU, although part of the agreement will come into effect two months after its ratification by the Ukraine Parliament.

Russian specialists have talked about the considerable losses Ukraine will have with the signing of the agreement, because before being able to get rivalry of its products, Ukraine will have to readjust its economy to the European standards that will cost millions of Euros.

Kiev had the opportunity to deepen its interaction with the Customs Union made of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan whom it had commercial links. They believe that the absence of these relations will bring the second biggest country of Europe millionaire decreases.

Moscow on his part has repeated will protect its domestic market from the European merchandise flow free from duties; nevertheless, Poroshenko’s government seems to have the tendency to consider keeping as well the exchange with Russia too.

Lionid Reshetnikov, head of the Institute of Strategic Studies of Russia has explained that the industrial production from those regions like Jarkov,  Zaporpzhie, Dniepropetrovsk, Odesa, Nikolaev, Donetsk and Lugansk which was imported by Russia before will have no demand by the EU where they produce the same, but with different quality, predicting this way, the closing of the plants and will lead to the loss of thousands of employments.

Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out that the coup d’état in Ukraine and the imposition to chose between Europe or Russia led to the fragmentation of the society and its internal conflict that had left hundreds of victims and thousands of displaced people.

All these things make us believe that the signed agreements by the EU not only with Kiev, but also with Georgia and Moldavia, the other two former Russian republics, have its goals against Russia, which are not only economical, but also military.
