cuba-si-bloqueo-noThe recent news spread by Cubainformacion saying that the Treasure Department of the U.S. has confiscated funds of the British NGO Cuba Solidarity Campaign (CSC) aimed to the purchase of a book about the economic sanctions against Cuba, is another example that Washington is determined, no matter what, not to allow the broadcasting of the truth about the blockade against the Cuban people, what constitutes a massive, flagrant and systematic violation of the human rights.

According to the source: The Economic War against Cuba. A Historical and Legal Perspective on the U.S. Blockade, published by Monthly Review Press, editorial in New York, in April 2013, it deals with the blockade topic with a historic and legal perspective and evaluates its impact in several sensible spheres like Health.

The British NGO’s director Rob Miller was astonished, he said: “They are using an extra territorial legislation about the economic sanctions against Cuba to hamper the sale of a book in the United Kingdom that expresses the consequences of the blockade against Cuba. The ridiculous character of the U.S. blockade is illustrated once more in this case when they try to prevent the British people read a book published by an American editorial.”

Such arbitrary measure could not prevent the world know this year, once more, in the speech addressed by the Cuban foreign minister, Bruno Rodriguez in the General Assembly of the United Nations, on the serious damages caused by this genocide police for more than 53 years, which is able to do so cruel and inhumane actions as to hamper the supply of medical appliances to a prestigious hospital like William Soler, specialized in Pediatric Cardiology Surgery ridiculously catalogued by the Commercial Department as “Refused Hospital”.

On the other hand, the U.S. opens its doors to the lie on the Cuban reality. Let’s just say that in the current administration of Obama, radio and television broadcasting from the U.S. territory to Cuba are above 2,000 hours a week throughout 30 frequencies, and several channels, which is a violation of the radio electronic airspace of our country.

Last year, in an interview to the outstanding lawyer Rodolfo Davalos, about the publication of his book “¿Embargo or Blockade? The instrumentation of a crime against Cuba, he said that in spite of the international rejection to the blockade, this is completely intact and the so mentioned changes by the current President of the U.S. are just to certain flexibilities to the travels to Cuba by Cubans living in the U.S. and to the mailing of remittances.

He also noted that in an appendix of his text where he refers to the prerogatives of the U.S. President to modify the blockade, he ridicules that alleged “relaxation”, because it is a demonstration the President could pass several measures up to the minimum expression, but he does not.

“Nevertheless, Davalos said that it imposed the lifting of the blockade for its arbitrary, unjust, illegal, and criminal nature that violates the International Human Rights and for the condemnation it receives every year in the National Assembly of the United Nations.” Once more, the condemnation of the international community is just repeated against that monster and Cuba has reiterated its disposition to improve in the normalization of the bilateral relations and seriously hold constructive talks in equal conditions and full respect to our independence.

But the empire is deaf to all that could be the imposition of its plans on its former colony. He is been isolated in the world once more due to its arrogance.
